Summit for Somerset

This week, we were invited along to Wyke Farm's Green Energy Centre, where they were hosting a morning to talk about Somerset Day 2017, and what we can all do as Somerset businesses to support it and make it grow.

The county of Somerset has so much to offer for tourists, and the organisation behind Somerset Day, 'Passion for Somerset', founded by Pardoe Solicitors, Wyke Farm, Thatchers & Miles Tea & Coffee, are keen to make sure that the thousands of tourists that pass through the county every year, make it a stop on their itinerary and visit all of the wonderful tourist attractions that Somerset has to offer.

They invited the businesses present to think about how they can support Somerset Day celebrations in their own workplaces, to help spread the word and make it bigger and better each year.

There was a guest talk from Michael Eavis, who talked about how he lives, works & plays in Somerset, and how he loves the county that allowed him to build the infrastructures that make the foundations of his world famous festival, Glastonbury, which is hosted at Worthy Farm in Pilton on an annual basis.

Michael Eavis has put Somerset in the Global spotlight, and the hundreds of other business names and brands in the county have done the same, providing a great platform for Somerset Day to grow and raise the profile of this unique county.

As a fine food wholesaler, we appreciate the value in great quality, regional produce, and supply a number of Somerset brands, including Wyke Farms, Godminster Cheese, Alec Jarret and Ashdale Beef, Lovingtons Ice Cream, The Traditional Free Range Egg Company, The Bay Tree Food Company, Westcombe Dairy, Bath Soft Cheese, Fussels Fine Foods and Filberts Fine Foods.
